Brief History
The Directorate of Degree Programme and Affiliation was established in February 2019 out of the need to streamline and strengthen affiliation matters with the parent institution, University of Nigeria Nsukka. Currently, the Directorate is made up of a Director, a Deputy Director and non-teaching staff. As a liaison office, the Directorate is charged with the responsibility of collecting and ensuring that Degree question papers, marking guides and results are duly moderated by the parent institution. It also mediates between the institution and the parent University on official matters. Some of the statutory duties of the Directorate include:
- Acting as diplomat/liaison office of the institution and the parent university.
- Coordinating all activities concerning the Degree Programme.
- Arranging for programmes and exam monitoring for each semester.
- Ensuring that appropriate courses for each level/semester are mounted.
- Arranging for examination processes of setting and vetting of question papers and marking guides, as well as collation and moderation of exam scripts and results.
- Articulating yearly budget of the Directorate.
- Ensuring that the institution meets her financial obligations for the smooth running of the programme.
- Ensuring that results are promptly released and that the parent university issues certificates and NYSC Call-up letters to graduands.
Vision Statement:
The Directorate envisions a hitch-free affiliation with the parent university (University of Nigeria, Nsukka) by coordinating all activities concerning the Degree Programme, and interacting with all Departments in the institution, in line with the procedures of the National Universities Commission’s (NUC) directives.
Mission Statement:
To ensure that degree programmes are run efficiently in accordance with the rules and regulations of the parent university as approved by the National Universities Commision (NUC).
